You see I am here after all
Is de titel van een werk van Zoe Leonard. Het gaat over de Niagara Falls. Duizenden Ansichtkaarten van uit verschillende hoeken maar ook in verschillende weersomstandigheden. Ik ben er nooit geweest, maar naar aanleiding van de tekst “Do I Worry If Niagara Falls” van de Inkt spot (singing detective) heb ik altijd de wens gehad er eens te gaan kijken. Wie weet kan ik straks ook zeggen “You see I’am here after all”

You see lam here after all is composed of vintage postcards of Niagara Falls, each section depicting the falls from a particular vantage point. The work unfolds along the full length of this gallery, mapping the geography of the site and the positions from which it was photographed. While many of the grouped images are nearly identical, the aesthetics of reproduction vary widely among them, revealing developments in color photography and printing throughout the twentieth century. The title of the work comes from a note written on one of the cards. Originally created as a site-specific installation
